For the first time in Georgia, the International Film and Wine Festival, WINECAST, took place. One of the festival’s supporters was the Tbilisi Balneological Spa Resort.

The first day of the festival was held at the Wine Museum and the area around the “Tamada” monument, where a memorial plaque for the Georgian grape variety, Saperavi, was ceremoniously unveiled. This marks the beginning of the establishment of the “Vineyard Alley” in the historical district of the capital.

During the festival days, guests had the opportunity to attend film screenings, wine tastings, masterclasses on pairing Georgian unique cheese and wine, American wine tastings, and cinema masterclasses.

Another significant part of the Winecast festival took place in Kakheti, at the Tsinandali estate, where guests could enjoy the beautiful autumn colors and surroundings while participating in various events.

There were screenings of both the latest and classic films, meetings, and discussions with directors. Approximately 30 Georgian wineries and over 100 types of the best wines were presented through a blind tasting. American sommeliers conducted masterclasses and American wine tastings.

As part of the festival, for the first time in Georgia, a workshop organized by the U.S. State Department’s “American Film Showcase” program was held, specifically for Georgian directors and producers.
